R & D is a major area of thrust at ATRI, with focus on consultancy services and software development.
Industry-Insitute Interaction
Visit to local industries are organized to provide practical exposure to the students. A number of MoU's have been signed with various electronic and software Industries for setting up of labs and for Consultancy, Training and Placements.
Adjunct Courses
The Adjunct Courses offered give the students an opportunity to enhance their skills and add to their knowledge base without having to seek training off-campus.

Communication Skills / Personality Development / Placement Training

The Institute has taken the initiative of developing a Communication and Soft Skills course for II, III and IV year students. Intensive training is imparted in the areas of group discussions, interview techniques, verbal ability, presentations, quantitative techniques etc.

ATRI is the destination for students of all engineering colleges of the twin cities when it organizes AURA -  an annual technical fest. Students explore their organizing skills and exhibit their talent by participating in technical events like Ideate, Robotics, Paper Presentation, Poster Presentation, Lan Gaming, Treasure Hunt, Sports, etc.,
